AdsOnGPT editorial policy

How we research, write, review, and update everything published on this site, and the lines we will not cross to make a page rank.

AdsOnGPT publishes guidance about an advertising channel that is still taking shape. That creates an obvious temptation: fill the gap with confident-sounding numbers nobody can check. We have chosen the opposite approach, and this page is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Our principles

Separate the platform from the opinion

Anything describing how ChatGPT advertising works is either drawn from OpenAI’s own published material or clearly presented as our interpretation. Where the two differ, the platform’s documentation wins and our commentary is labelled as commentary.

No invented performance data

We do not publish click-through rates, conversion rates, cost-per-lead figures, or campaign results that we cannot substantiate. Illustrative examples are labelled as illustrative. Sample dashboards are labelled as sample data.

Aspiration is not a guarantee

We write confidently about what a well-run campaign can achieve. We do not promise rankings, placements, lead volumes, or revenue. Advertising outcomes depend on your market, offer, capacity, and budget.

Advice you could act on tomorrow

Every guide is written for an operator with a phone that needs to ring. If a section cannot survive the question "what would I actually do with this?", it does not get published.

How a page gets published

  1. Research

We start from primary sources: OpenAI’s published announcements, advertiser documentation, and platform help material. Secondary commentary is used for context, never as the basis for a factual claim about the platform.

  2. Drafting

Drafts are written and edited in-house. AI tools may assist with research, summarisation, outlining, editing, and quality checks. No page is published as raw model output, and everything published stays subject to human oversight and review.

  3. Review

Before publication a page is reviewed for clarity, factual accuracy, source quality, and consistency. Time-sensitive platform information is checked against the official documentation available at the time, anything unverifiable is removed, and the page must not promise a result we cannot control.

  4. Dating and revision

Articles carry a published date and a reviewed date. Conversational advertising is changing quickly, so we re-read our platform-mechanics content on a rolling basis and give any material update a visible reviewed date. Errors are corrected when we discover them or when a reader reports one.

Independence and disclosure

AdsOnGPT is an independent advertising agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, and we have no commercial relationship that would let us influence how ads are selected or delivered in ChatGPT. Where we reference OpenAI material, we link to the source so you can read it yourself.

We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, and we do not publish sponsored posts or paid links. The only commercial interest on this site is our own: we would like to run your campaigns. That interest is declared on every page rather than hidden inside the writing.

Use of AI in our content

It would be strange for an agency built around AI advertising to pretend it does not use AI tools. We do. They help us summarise source material, structure outlines, and tighten prose. Every claim, recommendation, and example is written, checked, and owned by a person on our team, and anything a model asserts about the platform is verified against primary documentation before it appears here.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Our corrections policy explains how to report an error, how quickly we respond, and how a published correction is recorded.
