AdsOnGPT corrections policy

How to report an error on this site, what happens next, and how we record a published correction.

We write about a channel that changes faster than most publishers can keep up with. Some of what is accurate today will be wrong within a year, and occasionally something is wrong the day it is published. Both cases deserve the same response: fix it, date it, and say what changed.

Report an error

Email hello@adsongpt.com with the page URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. You can also reach us through the contact page.

You do not need to be a customer, and you do not need to be polite about it.

How we classify a report

Material error

A factual claim about how ChatGPT advertising works, a mischaracterised platform capability, or anything that could lead a reader to spend money on a false premise.

Corrected as a priority, with a dated correction note appended to the page.

Minor error

A typo, a broken link, an out-of-date reference, a wrong date, or a formatting problem that does not change the meaning of the page.

Fixed quietly in the next content pass; no correction note is added.

Superseded guidance

Advice that was accurate when published but has been overtaken by a platform change. This is common in an advertising channel that is still evolving.

Rewritten, with the reviewed date updated so readers can see how current the page is.

What happens after you report it

  1. Tell us what you found

Email hello@adsongpt.com with the page URL, the sentence or claim in question, and (if you have one) the source that contradicts it. A link to primary documentation makes this dramatically faster.

  2. We acknowledge it

We aim to confirm receipt within two business days. That acknowledgement is not agreement; it means a person has your report and is checking it.

  3. We verify against the source

We check the claim against primary documentation, giving priority to official platform material over secondary commentary. If we cannot substantiate it, we treat the claim as wrong and remove or rewrite it.

  4. We publish the fix

Material errors are corrected and the page carries a dated correction note describing what changed. We do not silently edit a substantive claim and pretend the original never existed.

What a correction looks like

A material correction appears at the foot of the affected page in a labelled block. It states the date, what the page previously said, and what it says now. The page’s reviewed date is updated at the same time so the change is visible to anyone assessing how current our guidance is.

If an error appeared in something we sent by email, we correct it on the site first and reference the fix in the next send rather than leaving the original uncorrected.

What this policy does not cover

Disagreements about strategy are not errors. If you think our recommended approach to budgeting, creative, or measurement is wrong, we would genuinely like to hear the argument, but we will treat it as a difference of professional opinion rather than a correction, and we will say so when we reply.

Our broader standards for sourcing, review, and AI use are set out in the editorial policy.
